This recipe comes from the region of Epirus in Greece. Macaronopita is a perfect accompaniment to your salad replacing bread. You can combine it with a glass of red wine.

Also, it could be called a “waste-free dish”, because you can use the pasta that was left over from the day before.

– For the stuffing –

  • 500 gr. Pasta No6 (boiled)
  • 200 gr. Feta cheese
  • 200 ml. Fresh milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 100 ml. Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

– For the leaf –

  • 800 gr. All-purpose flour
  • 200 gr. Hot water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper

  1. In a container you put all the ingredients for the leaves and you mix until it becomes a fluffy dough without sticking to our hands.
  2. In another container you add the eggs, the feta and the milk, then the spaghetti, salt and pepper.
  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and start opening them with the rolling pin and flour.
  4. Place 3 oiled sheets in the drip pan and pour the stuffing, then place 3 more sheets on top and cover the pie.
  5. We finish by folding the pieces around the pie. Bake at 180 ° C for 45 – 50 minutes in the air.

Good luck!
